A wide field of view and forgiving 2.72-inch eye relief help make the optic comfortable to use from a variety of shooting positions.

The illuminated Cross Dot 5.56 reticle provides a precise aiming point with a clear reference for fast target acquisition. Because the reticle is etched into the glass, it remains visible even when the illumination is turned off or the battery is depleted. This also makes the CLx 3X a strong option for shooters with astigmatism who may see traditional red dots as blurry or distorted.

Top-mounted push-button controls make it easy to cycle through 10 brightness settings, including two night vision-compatible levels. Daylight Bright illumination keeps the red reticle visible in strong outdoor lighting, while the lower settings support low-light and night vision use.
